Persecute me for a matter of conscience! For you do not make illegal the wanton cohabitation of the ungodly nor the fornications which prior to this generation were considered so base as to be unspeakable! No! You would permit me all kinds of fornications and abominations but to tell a woman publicly with witnesses that I take her as my wife, for this, you would imprison me! Not for the acts which God blesses for He says, "May the marriage bed be blessed" but for being joined by God and not by man as many times as it be the will of our Lord. It was Jesus who said, "What God has joined let no man separate" or do you deny Him now by denying the validity of His words? You hypocrites! You go to the courts of post Christian America to be joined and let them tell you what marriage is! Yes! Your ministers get licenses from the courts of post Christian America for what Jesus said man has nothing to do with. <U>Your ministers fear being imprisoned or fined even for joining one man and one woman in marriage!</U> You let your ministers make a mockery of marriage by allowing them to put  post Christian America judges in authority over marriage! <U>Why do your ministers get licenses for what our Lord says man has nothing to do with?</U> Are not the signatures of godly witnesses enough? Or do you believe that your brothers and sisters in Christ are more likely to bear false witness about a marriage having taken place than your pagan post Christian America judges? Jesus said, "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. Or have you taken their pagan bribes by way of marital tax deductions and rendered unto Caesar what rightfully belongs to God? (That is you have rendered unto Caesar authority over marriage through Caesar's laws rather than submitted to God's authority through His holy scriptures?) Do you fear losing your precious post Christian America tax deduction if you are joined only by God and not by the state. Only??? Only??? Do you make light of what the Lord has joined? What marriage in the bible required a license from the state? You let pagans tell you how you must behave in matters that are spiritual. You fear your bible yet it tells you the true nature of marriage but you know your wives who rule you as prophesied in Isaiah 3:12 would not permit you to define marriage according to the laws of God. You fear your wives more than you fear God! Therefore you submit to Rome in all her defilement! Shame! Shame! Shame! Your lack of faith that God can and does join a husband and wife is demonstrated in that you believe you must validate your marriages by getting a license from the state and you would seek that license even if it weren't required by law, wouldn't you! Furthermore you participate in the <A HREF="sins.htm">sins of the cults</A> to justify your condemnation of polygamous marriages which God has never condemned! The laws against polygamy are laws against conscience because they seek to limit what I say not what I do! If I say that I am not married and live with three women it is perfectly legal but it would be a sin. However if I say that I am married and live with three wives then it is illegal but not a sin. You are not limiting what I do but what I say! Admit it, you belong up with the popes in their tribunals where you could mock me then burn me at the stake for being a heretic which in fact you are!<BR> <BR> Forcing monogamy upon laymen is part of a medieval theology based on the traditions of men. Forced celibacy for priests came out of this same medieval tradition. There are three forms of chastity spoken of in the Bible and which are acceptable to this day; celibacy, monogamy, and <FONT COLOR="#ff0080">biblical polygamy (one man married to more than one woman.)</FONT> Forced monogamy is NOT a Christian belief any more than forced celibacy or forced polygamy would be. We can no longer allow the gospel as taught in the years following the resurrection of our Lord to be overlaid with such medieval traditions as forced monogamy which have the effect of "invalidating the word of God." Mark7:13<SUB> </SUB>We wonder how many other "doctrines of demons" 1Tim4:1-3 continue to be taught in today's so called bible believing churches. Medieval and unbiblical theologies should not be given a place of honor in any church that calls itself Christian. Laymen as well as clergy can no longer be fooled by high sounding titles and degrees into thinking that the traditions of man are taken from the bible when they are not. We have access to Greek and Hebrew translations of the bible as never before. I myself am a linguist having studied five languages and regularly speak a language not my own. Am I to believe that men who, when going out as missionaries, cannot even learn the native language are more able to understand how to read a Greek or Hebrew dictionary than I am??? Am I to believe that a degree in theology makes a man holy??? Certainly not! Finally, we are not "promoting" polygamy. We are promoting the completion of the reformation movement. For whatever reason, the reformed churches exchanged the tyranny of the Roman church for the tyranny of the state. From that point on the state was given the authority to rule on the validity of marriages even though Jesus said the state has no such authority. The state's new found authority to rule was absolute and it ruled without regard to scripture and does so to this day. Even unbelievers in government positions are given authority to declare Christian marriages void. Christian marriages even when performed in accordance with scripture and with Christian witnesses are declared invalid for lack of a state license or because they violate some tenet of the decaying Roman church. The reformers allowed their new found freedom to read the bible and live by it to be taken away by the state without the slightest struggle. We ask only that our freedom to read and declare what the bible says and to live by it be given us. Is it not true that few such assemblies exist? However, there are some such assemblies that follow God's Word and only God's Word.
